The horrid truth

I was alerted by Liz Fenwick on Twitter to this link http://helpineedapublisher.blogspot.com/2010/08/selling-out.html?spref=tw, which makes rather horrid reading, but am afraid NM might be right.

On the other hand, books DO get published, and new authors who are not already Jordan or David Beckham DO get contracts, so maybe it's not all gloom? I'm going to keep writing, anyway.

    I have just read this, Margaret, and it is quite scary; especially from a yet-to-be published writer!
    However like you said, I will be continuing to write as I love to do so, and I just hope that one day there is a publisher out there who likes it.
    It was funny to see this post just days after me emailing you about jobs in the writing-world. Seems like most people have to do it these days....
